The hit show that gives an up close and personal look at what happens when hapless Brits swap a sun-lounger for a hospital bed – and Sangria for stitches.
The second series of Sun, Sea and A&E may come directly from the Spanish isle of Mallorca but it definitely won’t leave you Wishing You Were Here as the show follows the unfortunate holidaymakers who end up in hospital.
The cameras will follow paramedics, doctors and nurses – many of whom are Brits – as they deal with the annual influx of sun seekers and their bizarre, bloody and downright shocking injuries. With more than two million Brits looking for thrills and cheaper breaks, viewers will discover the more unpleasant side to the British holiday experience and get a firsthand view of what it's really like to spend your well-earned holiday time in accident and emergency.
Watch, as the team of doctors and interpreters battle to make patient Stephen understand how they will treat his horrific injuries after being attacked by two men outside a nightclub. Panic, as devastated dad Mark keeps a vigil around his 4year old son Henry’s bedside after he is found drowning at the bottom of the hotel swimming pool. Shake your head in disbelief as a man turns up in A&E in nothing but his bright blue boxer shorts…
From too much booze and swine flu scares to soaking up just too much sun, accidents on the dancefloor and in the clubs, Sun, Sea and A&E goes behind the scenes to follow all the funny, heart-warming and just plain incredible stories of British families and holidaymakers who are away in search of fun, but end up with a little more excitement than they’d bargained for.
